Join us to present the link between Modern Slavery and Climate Change, outlining the research that has taken place with UK Organisations and what the last 10 years have been like. 

We will also explore environmental sustainability and contrast the different approaches needed to tackle modern slavery and some of the resultant tensions.

EVENT SPEAKER

Stuart Milligan 

Stuart Milligan is an Associate Teaching Professor at the Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics, Thompson Rivers University. Stuart has held senior positions in retail and higher education. Stuart holds a PhD in Supply Chain Management and has a research interest in responsible supply chains. Recent research projects involve understanding the impact the UK  Modern Slavery Act (2015) has had upon procurement practice and using the context of Canadian Bill S-211 to understand how procurement managers engage in sensemaking when responding to new legislation.
