Event Details

CIPS Hong Kong Branch and ICAC will co-host the annual seminar aimed at introducing and discussing comprehensive measures to eliminate potential procurement fraud. This high-profile event will bring together key stakeholders, including government officials, procurement professionals, and representatives from various industries, to foster collaboration and share knowledge on best practices in procurement integrity.

Aims: 

·  Introduce the critical importance of transparency, accountability, and ethical standards in procurement processes.

·  Engage in a series of workshops designed to provide hands-on experience with new tools and methodologies for fraud prevention and detection.

Raise awareness about the critical issue of procurement fraud and introduced actionable measures to combat it.

EVENT SPEAKERS

Mr Tony Lau

Chief Corruption Prevention Officer

Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), HKSAR

Mr. Lau possesses extensive experience of corruption prevention in procurement. He and his team has complied a Corruption Prevention Guide on Procurement for Public Bodies, which aims to facilitate procurement personnel to understand the systematic steps for achieving integrity management, identifying the corruption risks and common weaknesses, and developing corruption prevention controls in the procurement processes. Also, the Guide also identifies a number of corruption prevention functionalities that can be adopted in the computer systems for procurement.


Ms Lily Heo

CIPS Hong Kong Chair 

Lily Heo is currently the Chairlady of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Hong Kong Branch.  She has a wide spectrum of experience in public sector procurement.  She is now working in the Airport Authority as the General Manager, Procurement.  Apart of this, she had served also a number of esteemed public companies including Hong Kong Jockey Club, MTR Corporation, CLP Power HK Ltd
