We shall delve into various emerging technologies detailing the impact they have had on supply chain processes and how they have changed the status quo as well as enhanced efficiency and effectiveness. We shall also address the challenges that accrue to adopting these technologies & how to overcome them and opportunities the professionals and students could explore to prepare for the future.

Molly Kwamah 

Business Development Lead For Global Programs

Molly Kwamah is a seasoned supply chain and development specialist with vast experience in designing and implementing transformative development programs that deliver sustainable solutions and lasting impact for different communities globally. Ms. Kwamah is passionate about gender and social inclusivity as well as technology and climate change related issues.

She currently serves as a Business Development Lead for Global Programs at Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA), a Canadian international NGO building business solutions for poverty alleviation and is also a part time lecturer at the University of Nairobi in Supply Chain Management, Operations and Project Management. Ms. Kwamah is passionate about impacting knowledge, challenging the status quo and spurring systemic change through strategic collaboration, design of transformative interventions that deliver innovative yet sustainable supply chains.

Prof. Jonathan Annan

Associate Professor of Logistics, Operations & Supply Chain Management, Strathmore University Business School 

Prof Jonathan Annan (DhPMP,MKISM, MCILT,PhD,MA,PGDE, BSc) is an Associate Professor of Logistics, Operations and Supply Chain Management at Strathmore University Business School, Nairobi, kenya. Prof Annan has over 20 years’ experience in Operations, Procurement and Supply Chain Management. His research has won multiple awards including the 2017 Global Innovation and Knowledge Academy Best Conference Paper. Until his appointment at Strathmore Business School, he was the Director of CILT professional education in Logistics and Transport and Deputy Director of West African Institute of Supply Chain leadership (WAISCL)—Kwame Nkrumah University of science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. He was a council member of West African Examination council. He is  currently the Programme Lead for Operations and Supply Chain Management at Strathmore University Business School and a chartered member and Consultant for Kenya Institute of Supplies Management.  Prof Annan is currently the Council Chair of Institute of Project Management Professionals ( IPMP) in Ghana. He has authored three books on Operations and SuppLy Chain Management. Prof Annan has undertaking several training, workshops and consultancy for several companies and Government of Ghana on Transportation, procurement, Operations and Supply Chain management Policies. 


Mr Peter Omukaya Mutele

Global Procurement Manager, Voluntary Service Overseas


Peter Mutele is a savvy cross functional strategic procurement and operations specialist with a 13 years high reputation of delivering
frontline procurement and operations excellence interventions for impactful programming in the international
development space. He is recognized for initiation and implementation of innovative procurement solutions that are
fully results based and compliant. His experience spans from the public and private sectors, local and international NGOs and funds grants management.

Peter currently serves as a Global Procurement Manager for Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO). He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Purchasing and Supplies Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Peter is a licensed member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management and an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply.
