This is the latest Face to Face event by CIPS Yorkshire who now, in partnership with YPO, are providing this opportunity for those affected by the Procurement Act 23, or who just wish to learn more about it, to:

Hear what impact the Procurement Act 23 is having on a major procurement and supply organisation and how they are mitigating and managing this.

How they are undertaking its implementation and the key elements of this process, what issues they have encountered, and how they have overcome them.

What preparation they are doing with both the suppliers in their various supply chains and with their wide range of customers.

Furthermore, have an opportunity to see first-hand how YPO manages their supply chain and distribution activities. 

Also, importantly, to network over breakfast and during the event with fellow procurement and supply peers.

YPO’s warehouse site safety requirements mandate the wearing of safety boots and hi-viz:

SPEAKERS: 

Andrea Smith
Executive Director Procurement Andrea Smith is Executive Director of Procurement at YPO.

Andrea Smith joined YPO in 2024 as the Executive Director for Procurement. Before her current role, Andrea served as the ICS Procurement Director at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS and South Yorkshire ICS. Her previous roles include Head of Procurement at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS and University Hospitals of Leicester NHS.

With over 25 years of experience, Andrea is a proficient commercial leader who has spearheaded strategic and operational improvements in both the public and private sectors. As a CIPS Fellow, she is actively engaged in regional and national procurement circles. Andrea's dedication and expertise make her a distinguished ambassador for the procurement profession.

Michelle Walker Head of Procurement Service
Michelle joined YPO as Head of Procurement Services in June 2024 from the NHS, and brings a wealth of public sector procurement experience gained over 30 years.

Michelle has experience in leading high profile/high risk processes at a national level, particularly across contentious markets, supporting the public sector in their strategic procurement objectives.  In addition, Michelle is an experienced and well-regarded procurement trainer and speaker and is looking forward to leading YPO’s Procurement Services team, working with and supporting colleagues and our customers during this exciting time of change for the profession.
