Event Details

Facilities Management (FM) is the organisational function that supports people, place and process in the built environment. In simple terms, it’s about managing, maintaining and providing support services to buildings and their users.  And yet… FM contracts are anything but simple.

FM contracts can range all the way from complex bundles of linked, but not necessarily similar, service lines, all the way through to fully-managed supply-chains of sub-contractors under the direction of a Principal. Procuring a successful FM contract means navigating a veritable minefield of complex and competing requirements, diverse deliverables and stakeholder needs and hard-to-quantify outcome.

The IWFM (Institute of Workplace & Facilities Management) are the industry body for workplace and facilities professionals. CIPS London Branch members are invited to this event hosted by Gardiner & Theobold LLP and members of the IWFM’s Procurement Special Interest Group looking specifically at best practice when procuring Facilities Management Contracts. Following the event there will be a networking session enabling more detailed discussion to take place.
