Professor David Bamford, BSc (Hons), MPhil, PhD, CMgr, MCMI, FHEA

Professor of Operations Management, Manchester Metropolitan University. 

Professor David Bamford is an experienced industrialist/academic who has published over 250 articles, book chapters and reports as well as presented widely on his topics to both academic and practitioner audiences. His multiple publications include two co-authored books: Essential Guide to Operations Management and Managing Quality. David's research interests are: operations management improvement strategies; supply chain management, quality management; sports operations management; strategic organisational change; leadership. E.g. His work at the London 2012 Paralympics, assessing athletes perceptions of the operational resources design and delivery, influenced design aspects of the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Games.
