As a highly experienced and globally connected procurement leader, I have a proven track record over three decades of strategic and operational delivery within both public and private sectors. I have directed transformational change projects at a local, national and international level, innovating to set and embed best practice standards across complex and diverse institutions, and building the capability of individuals, organisations and supply chains. Since joining the Scottish Government, I have played a key role in driving public procurement reform, including a number of initiatives addressing socioeconomic inequalities, the climate emergency and building a procurement profession for the future, with innovative programmes cited in global case studies.

Azuka Okeke

Chief Executive Officer, Africa Resource Centre for Excellence in Supply Chain Management

Azuka is the Chief Executive Officer of ARC_ESM. She oversees supply chain transformation projects in Nigeria and has also supported other African countries in strengthening their health systems. She is best known for her expertise in engaging governments and development partners, supporting them to prioritize and invest in health supply chain programmes in Africa. Her work has improved financial investments by the Federal and State governments in Nigeria and co-investments worth over $12,000,000 (Twelve Million US Dollars) from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
