Now that the The Procurement Act has obtained Royal Assent, the aim of this event is to highlight what the changes would look like in practise for procurement professionals and non-professionals, especially business owners. Emphasis will be on:

  • crucial changes to the way supplies, services and works are procured for the public sector.
  • how to best prepare for the introduction of the new Procurement Act

EVENT SPEAKER

David Hansom 

Partner. Clyde & Co LLP. 

David leads Clyde & Co's global procurement and state aid practice. He has significant experience in advising clients in the UK and internationally across a wide variety of sectors and infrastructure asset classes, and is head of the firm's Public Sector Group.

 David's practice focuses on advising clients in the public, education, utility and private sectors on procurement, state aid and complex commercial arrangements. He has wide experience in delivering large scale concessions, works contracts and framework agreements for both contracting authorities and bidders. David has been involved in some of the biggest regeneration and infrastructure projects in the market, and has developed particular experience in structuring deals outside of the procurement regime.


Hannah Chapelhow

Legal Director, Clyde & Co LLP. 

Hannah Chapelhow is a Legal Director in the projects and construction group specialising in public procurement and supply chain compliance.

Since qualifying in 2005, Hannah has specialised in public, concessions, utilities and defence procurement. She has also advised private sector clients on international supply chain compliance and good practice. She has in-depth knowledge of procurement law, and her approach is pragmatic, clear and easy to understand.
