Mr. Tony Lau
Chief Corruption Prevention Officer, Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC)
Mr Lau possesses extensive experience of corruption prevention in procurement. Having conducted extensive reviews/research of different procurement systems/processes, Mr Lau has acquired unique insights into common inadequacies and recommended practices in procurement from the corruption prevention perspective. His team has recently compiled a Corruption Prevention Guide on Procurement for Public Bodies, which aims to facilitate procurement personnel to understand the systematic steps for achieving integrity management, identifying the corruption risks and common weaknesses, and developing corruption prevention controls in the procurement processes.
